Holistic Educator

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

To complete your TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, you will be enrolled in the full qualification from the outset. We offer a flexible learning approach, which means you work through the qualification at your own pace via our online learning platform. You have up to 12 months from your enrolment date to complete all modules.

Enrolment Fee

The $165 enrolment fee secures your place in your chosen cohort and is only payable once. If you complete Holistic Educator and continue on to full TAE40122, you do not need to pay a second enrolment fee and vis-versa.

The enrolment fee includes:

  • LLN (Language, Literacy, Numeracy) assessment
  • Digital Literacy assessment
  • Enrolment processing
  • Securing your place

Note: The enrolment fee is paid at sign-up and is non-refundable. If you wish to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), an additional assessment fee applies — see the RPL section below.

Credit Transfer

If you have already completed TAE units with another provider and hold a valid Statement of Attainment, credit transfer (if eligible) can be processed as part of your standard enrolment at no additional cost. Credit transfer and RPL are different processes — credit transfer recognises formally certified units, while RPL assesses skills and experience that may not have been formally credentialed.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Our RPL pathway is a supported process that recognises your existing skills and knowledge. If you have relevant industry experience, you may be eligible. For a fee, our team will assess your existing qualifications, skills and experience to identify any eligible units.

How RPL Works

If you believe your prior experience or qualifications may entitle you to credit, speak with us before or during enrolment. We’ll help you understand whether RPL is the right option for your situation by sending a free self-assessment checklist.

RPL Assessment Fee: $385 per unit (inc. GST)

If you choose to pursue RPL, a non-refundable assessment fee of $385 per unit is payable at the time of your RPL application. This covers a comprehensive review of your evidence portfolio and formal assessment against the relevant units of competency by our Senior TAE Educator.

What the TAE Plus RPL process looks like 

Initial consultation

  • The provider explains the RPL process and checks your suitability.

Self-assessment

  • You review your skills and identify the qualification that best fits.

Evidence portfolio

  • You provide documents such as work samples, references or certificates.

Interview or practical assessment 

  • You demonstrate your skills in practice.

Gap training (if needed) 

  • If there are areas where your skills don’t fully meet the qualification, training is offered to fill the gaps.

What happens after RPL assessment?

If your RPL is successful, your remaining course fees and payment schedule will be adjusted to reflect the units credited. This means your total course cost will be reduced — you will never pay more than the standard course price.

If your RPL application is unsuccessful, you will continue into the relevant units as part of your normal course pathway. The RPL assessment fee is non-refundable, as it reflects the work undertaken to assess your evidence.

Withdrawals & Refunds

  • The $165 enrolment fee is non-refundable.
  • Module fees are non-refundable once you have commenced a module — commencement is defined as logging into the learning platform (Moodle) and accessing the module content.
  • If you have paid for a module but have not yet commenced it, you may request a refund by contacting us at taeplus@aflsportsready.com.au
  • All eligible refunds are processed back through the original PayPal payment method only. Refunds may take up to 7 days to appear in your PayPal account.
  • RPL assessment fees (if applicable) are non-refundable as they cover work already undertaken to assess your evidence portfolio.

PayPal Pay in 4 Refunds

If you paid using PayPal Pay in 4 and are entitled to a refund, the refund will be processed back through PayPal.
  • If the refund covers your entire outstanding Pay in 4 balance, your plan will be marked as completed and no further payments will be taken.
  • If the refund is partial, it will be applied to reduce your remaining instalments proportionally. You will need to continue making any remaining payments until the plan balance is cleared.
  • Please check your PayPal account after any refund is processed to confirm your Pay in 4 plan has been updated correctly. If you have any questions about your plan, contact PayPal directly.

Payment Options & Support

  • Payment Issues: Contact us immediately if you cannot make a payment. We can discuss adjusting your payment schedule for genuine hardship.

  • Overdue Payments: If payments are overdue by more than 14 days, access to learning materials may be suspended.

  • Employer Payment: We can invoice your employer directly for any course or RPL assessment fees. Please contact us to discuss your individual circumstances.

Credentials

  • Issuance: Statements of Attainment and Skill Set credentials are issued within 30 calendar days of completing all assessments and all fees being paid in full

  • Electronic Credentials: PDF versions are included at no extra cost

  • Hard Copies: Available for $60
